Hello everyone!
It’s been a few months since my last post, but I’ve been hard at work building this website. Welcome to my blog, a space dedicated to all things life and entrepreneurship. Through this platform, I aim to become more sociable and share my journey as an African American entrepreneur transitioning from Miami Beach, FL, to Rome, Italy.
As mentioned in my previous post, I embarked on this adventure in February 2024. This period also marked the beginning of my career in digital marketing. Today, June 13th, 2024, I am excited to announce the official (yet quiet) launch of my blog site!
Throughout my time in Rome, I’ll share weekly updates, complete with images, about my experiences. So far, I’ve settled in well, although navigating the bureaucracy here has been a bit challenging. A key lesson I’ve learned is to always call ahead, get the name of the person you speak with, and exercise patience—something I admittedly struggle with.
When I arrived in February, the weather was still chilly, requiring long sleeves. Now, in June, the heat keeps me indoors during the day, and I often find myself staying up late to sync with American time zones. Despite the scorching heat, I do enjoy spending time at the beach.
To my surprise, there are quite a few English speakers here, which makes life easier. Even when English speakers aren’t around, I get by with my trusty translation device.
I wanted to write a quick post to update everyone on my progress. Thank you all for your support, no matter how small. If you have any suggestions or recommendations, I’d love to hear them! Also, if you know of any hidden gems or popular spots in Rome you’d like me to visit, please comment or send in your requests. Don’t forget to follow me on Facebook to stay updated.
Until next time, God bless and stay safe!
